The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) in close collaboration with private sector has introduced a sustainable hotel accommodation classification system that features online facility. As per the new initiative, all hotels will be categorized on a sliding scale of one star to five stars and the hotel apartments to be classified as deluxe, superior or standard. The ADTA system by combining both the mandatory and scoring methodologies aims to develop industry standards and procedures, deliver a quality standardization system and enhance tourism standards in the Emirates through the new initiative. 
Nasser Saif Al Reyami, Director, Licensing and Classification Division, ADTA said, “This is a world-class system which will be upgraded very two years in accordance with prevailing international market standards and to reflect the increasing status of Abu Dhabi as a global destination of distinction
