The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has launched a daylong tour to Vemulawada, Dharmapuri and Kondagattu in Karimnagar district from Hyderabad, beginnning 7:00 am and ending at 9:30 pm.  The tour enables tourists to get VVIP darshans at temples like Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy (Vemulawada), Sri Ugranarasimha Swamy (Dharmapuri) and Sri Anjaneya Swamy (Kondagattu).
"Basically, the idea is to give urbanites a glimpse of rural life even as they visit pilgrim spots," said APTDC officials.
The tour is priced reasonably (Rs 500 per adult , Rs 400 per child). Besides, to give travellers an insight on the economic and cultural aspects of various villages en route, a tourist guide will be deployed. If time permits, there will be brief halts at Kotilingala temple and also free boating at the Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar.
