Goa is all set to rope in the famous Konkani singer, Lorna Cordeiro, as the part of state’s tourism itinerary in a bid to woo music-loving tourists. Heritage Jazz Goa, an NGO in collaboration with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) and state-run Tiatre Academy, has decided to host a concert on August 20th with an aim to introduce Lorna to tourism world. The concert is aimed at being a precursor to the Goa tourism season which begins in October.
GTDC managing director Nikhil Desai said that the corporation will be adding Lorna’s performance as an event to its tourism promotion brochure. “We are also looking at introducing Lorna in our Goa tourism campaign as she is a well known name worldwide. The performance of Lorna will be an added feature in our tourism promotion brochure.” Desai added.
Recently, Bollywood actress Prachi Desai had been roped in by Goa to promote tourism in the state. GTDC has been undertaking a wide range of tourism promotions and campaigns off late to increase the visitor arrivals to the state and enhance the tourism prospects. Furthermore, the tourism corporation offers attractive tour packages like Monsoon Honeymoon, Beach Bumming, Season Packages, and Jumbo Special among others.
