The government of Punjab recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Asian Development Bank (ADB) which will sanction Rs 550 crore to promote tourism in the state. Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal said that his government was taking all necessary steps to promote tourism in the state where private players will also be encouraged in the field.
Some of the important tourist destinations of Punjab include Kurukshetra, Golden Temple, Anandpur Sahib, Jallianwallah Bagh, Wagha Border, Sheesh Mhal and many others. 
2 Railway Lines From Puttaparti, Andhra Pradesh
The Central government of India has sanctioned new railway lines between Kadiri- Puttaparti and Chikballapur- Puttaparti Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, South India at an expenditure of Rs 939.11 crores. Indian railways that transports over 20 million commuters everyday across the country is the largest public sector enterprise of India. 
Union Minister of State for Railways, K.H. Muniyappa said that the Indian railways had taken up about Rs 10,000 crores rail works in the Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and assured that he would examine the feasibility of halting two express trains at Hindupur railway station , Andhra Pradesh soon.
