HPTDC (Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation) that runs a chain of hotels has added another feather to its cap for its 2 hotels ‘Hotel Holiday Home’ and ‘Goofa-Ashiana’ in Shimla have been recently awarded with the Certificates of Registration-Quality Management System-ISO 9001 2008 by the BSI Management Systems (United Kingdom).
Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal who congratulated the Board of Directors, Management of HP Tourism Development Corporation for its success in qualifying ISO Certificates and entering its name in the Elite Group of ISO Certified hotels in the world said: “HPTDC has emerged as the second organization in India for having received such certificate the other being Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. The global distinction achieved is bound to travel across the world with good name and business to the organization”.
The Corporation that aims to add more units to the ISO certification list will soon announce a special package during the ensuing Commonwealth Games to attract visitors from all over the world. Further, it has approved construction of a 40 double bed roomed hotel at Kasauli to cater to the increasing number of tourists on weekdays and provide them quality accommodation at affordable prices.
