The Chitradurga Fort in Karnataka which is well renowned for its seven enclosure walls will be made even more visually appealing , as the Karnataka tourism department  is now planning to set up a dancing fountain along with a light and Sound Project at the earliest.
“We have sent a proposal to the government seeking the release of funds for the implementation of project. Earlier, we had decided to install speakers around the fort to highlight its story. The visitors can listen to the audio while watching the fort. Later, we changed the idea as we felt that audio alone wouldn’t be effective,” Amlan Aaditya Biswas, Deputy Commissioner of Chitradurga said.
According to the plan, several pictures depicting the significance of the fort will be displayed on the screen. A dancing fountain will also be set up at the fort as it comprises structural evidence related to water supply and rain water harvesting.
“I am sure this would give a refined face to the fort and attract more tourists as people can visit the place even at night,” Biswas added. The tourism department will also provide vehicles for all the tourists coming from far off places or travel across the district.
