People travelling between Delhi- Gurgaon have a reason to smile for the much awaited Delhi- Gurgaon metro line would be operational by next month. The 14.5 km Metro railway line between Qutub Minar and Sushant Lok connecting the Capital with Gurgaon would commence before the start of the Commonwealth Games.
“The entire stretch between Delhi and Gurgaon will be opened at one go now. We are trying to open it by June," said a senior Delhi Metro official. Once the Metro line to Gurgaon is opened, passengers can hope to reach the Millennium City- Gurgaon in an hour from Connaught Place.
After the Gurgaon line, DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) will have only 2 lines to complete before the Commonwealth Games in October. They are the Central Secretariat-Badarpur and New Delhi-Airport Express Line. Delhi Metro had recently opened the Inderlok Mundka Line, which connects Mundka with Dwarka-Noida line on Inderlok Metro station.
