The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) have launched a new scheme of “Book a Meal” category on online booking service which will enable the passengers to book the e- tickets and at the same time avail the choice menu and food while they reserve their berth via E- ticket.
The passengers by clicking their confirmed reserved name on the e- ticket site will get the option of Book a Meal tag. Once the passenger book, cancellation or modification in meal booking will not be permitted and the payment will be taken once their food is supplied to them at their seat in the train. Presently, the online booking of meals has been launched in trains 2628 Karnataka Express and 2780 Goa Express.
