Oman in a bid to woo the travellers is planning to open tourism offices in various parts of the world including India. The first representative office will be opened in Moscow.
Mohammed bin Hamoud Al Toobi, Under-Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Oman said, “The target markets will be Russia and the neighbouring countries. We also plan to open tourism offices in China, Japan and India as part of our intensified efforts to woo holidaymakers to the sultanate”.
The Oman Travel Market 2010 (OTM), an annual tourism show was recently held from May 17 -19 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. It had attracted 30 tour companies and hotels from Oman, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, India and Iran.
