The 17 properties belonging to Orissa tourism department that were supposed to undergo facelift on PPP mode will be again going for re-tendering process. The tourism properties that will go for fresh tenders include setting up of wayside tourist amenities centres like panthikas and tourist reception centres. The Orissa tourism department is planning to tap private players who will refurbish and give a facelift to these properties.
“The state tourism department had identified 31 properties for renovation by the private players and it was decided that these properties would be offered to the private players on a long-term lease of 30 years” said Orissa tourism secretary Mona Sharma
