Tamil Nadu, a popular tourism destination of India is looking at developing various aspects of the state’s tourism to woo more number of travelers to the state.
“We have created a proper adventure tourism destination in Yelagiri with activities like land sailing, net cricket, archery and bungee jumping. The department has also acquired all terrain vehicles for the purpose,” said Dr A C Mohandoss, director of Tourism and MD, TNTDC.
The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TNTDC) is also promoting Mamallapuram Beach Resort Complex and Mudaliarkuppam Island in a big way. Tamil Nadu witnessed a total of 6 crore domestic tourists while international tourists were more than 20 lakhs.
