In order to woo more number of Indian travellers to the country, Turkey has launched Visa-on-Arrival facility for Indian visitors. As per the new initiative, Indians arriving in Istanbul, the largest city of Turkey can now avail the new service by paying a nominal fee of 15 Euro or $20. The Visa that will be valid for 30 days is also applicable to travellers holding the UK, US and Schengen Visa.
Sevgi Boz, Cultural and Tourism Counsellor of Turkey to India said: “We have been waiting for this announcement for a long time.  It’s encouraging news for all of us. We hope more Indians will now take advantage of this Visa-on-Arrival facility and visit Turkey.”   
Turkey that witnessed about 55,000 Indians visitors last year has launched a major marketing campaign in India with the tagline –‘Turkey is ready’ in a bid to create more awareness among Indians about its products and destinations.
