The first edition of Commonwealth International Travel Mart (CITM) will be held at Hotel The Ashok, International Convention Centre from August 26- 28.
“About 200 buyers and over 100 exhibitors from the Commonwealth countries are expected to participate in the event. It will offer buyers and sellers a platform to network, conduct business and create new opportunities. CITM will now be an annual fixture in
our calendar of events in India,” said Ajay Gupta, managing director, CITM.
CITM will showcase the best of “Commonwealth Brands” under one crown to highlight the travel & tourism potential of Commonwealth Countries and Indian States. The event which is expected to boost travel among varied countries will not only attract exhibitors and buyers but also increase tourist arrivals from both within and outside the Commonwealth countries.
The brochures and website of the CITM was previously launched in June, New Delhi by Hon’ble Tourism Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Mr Nawang Rigzin Jora in the presence other important dignitaries. CITM is supported by Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) and other various tourism organizations and Travel Trade Associations.
