Haryana has constructed a total of 7,300 hotel rooms to facilitate tourists arriving for the upcoming Commonwealth Games (CWG), to be held in October in New Delhi. The state was given a target of constructing 6,700 hotel rooms and the number of hotel rooms is likely to increase to 7,500.
According to the Centre's decision, tax concession will be extended to those hotels which will be ready by July 31st. The concession, allotted to one to four-star hotels, will continue for the next 5 years. The Haryana government will be closely coordinating with all the hotel owners in completing all kinds of formalities at the earliest.
