Kargil district in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has launched 2 new tourist circuits namely Batalik-Darchiks-Garkone-Dah-Khalsi-Leh and Khangral-Chiktan-Shakar-Sanjak-Leh in the region. Last year, the Home Ministry, government of India sanctioned the opening of 2 new tourist circuits in the district of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) which was finally passed in March 2010.
Kargil district has been famous for its adventure activities and boasts of famous trekking routes thus generating a lot of interest among the domestic travellers. The region has been popular with the international travellers too.
