India's luxurious tourist train ‘Royal Rajasthan on Wheels’ has decided to include Varanasi in its list of destinations. Starting from September 2011, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels will arrive in Varanasi early on Friday mornings. The Passengers will get to see an unforgettable sunrise (Subeh-e-Banaras) over the ghats, evening aarti ceremony by the Ganges River, and other local sights during the day like Bharat Kala Bhawan, Bharat Mata Mandir and Sarnath promising to make the journey a truly exhilarating one.
VK Sharma, General Manager of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) said: “We have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UP Tourism to provide better facilities to the visiting tourists.” The cities currently covered in the journey of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels include Delhi, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Khajuraho, and Agra.
The train is equipped with all the modern facilities and has 2 super deluxe suites, 13 deluxe cabins along with 2 restaurant lounges, spa, and wireless internet. The deluxe cabins come with names such as Emerald, Pearl, Ruby and Sapphire, and beautiful rich color schemes to match.
