The South Central Railways (SCR) will now be providing better IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited) services to all the passengers staying in the retiring rooms on the platform number 1 and 6, in the Vijayawada Railway station, Andhra Pradesh.
The IRCTC staff will be serving the passengers staying in the 24 retiring rooms including 3 A/c rooms in the railway station. The station that connects Andhra Pradesh state to all the key cities in India with super fast trains has also been chosen as a pilot project for privatization of retiring rooms in the coming years.
