Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) that regulates the Indian travel industry is all geared up to launch its own E-distribution application titled ‘System One’ in the month of September in New Delhi. The new application which will be launched in other key cities as well will offer Full Service Carrier (FSC) and Low Cost Carrier (LCC) inventory of domestic airlines to TAAI members across India enabling them to use their own BSP stock mapping to book the tickets.
N G Shankar, Technical Council Chairman, TAAI said, “System One is not a web-based application, it is a software application that needs to be downloaded on a desktop or a computer to be able to access it. We also plan to add other offerings like international air inventory which will begin in phase two of the product development.”
TAAI has also chalked out plans to offer products that can be booked electronically to its members through System One application. Furthermore, System One will offer other benefits like terminal wise productivity report, User productivity, product wise billing report, branch productivity report, SMS option to send flight availability to customers among others.
“The product is offered free to TAAI members, however there is no decision taken by the managing committee to make it available for non-members at the moment,” added Shankar.
