Mumbai-based Hotel Krishna Palace Residency has added a new milestone in its business, by expanding its hospitality assortment in South India. it is all set to launch two budget hotels in Karnataka and the cities chosen for the expansion plans are Mangalore and Udipi. The land for the project has already been taken and the budget of Rs. 7 crore has been pronounced for the same. The construction of the Mangalore property will start in 2010 and the hotel will be operational in two years hence.
 
Suresh Shetty, Director - Krishna Palace Residency, said that the two hotels will be under budget segment, with cost cutting on food and beverages. The Mangalore property has been planned on an exotic beach-front location, which will magnetize both corporate and leisure guests. Both the Mangalore and Udipi properties will flourish under the brand name ‘Krishna Palace’. The success of the project will set a benchmark for future projects in Pune, Nasik and Nagpur.
 
The hotel company's flagship property is in Mumbai, with the name Hotel Krishna Palace. It houses the company’s signature restaurant ‘Sudama’, known for its Indian, Chinese and South Indian cuisine. The company has recently started ‘Flute’, a fine dine multi-cuisine restaurant within the hotel. It also plans to start an open-air Lounge Bar, over a 4,000 sq ft terrace, a feature that will be carried forward to the other properties being developed by the chain.
