India’s hospitality chain, Alliance Hotels & Resorts Ltd is all geared up to expand its portfolio by setting up new properties in Northeast India and Lakshadweep. The company has recently tied up with Chennai-based MGM Group of Hotels in order to manage 6 new properties in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The 6 properties include MGM Beach Resort (Mutthukaddu), MGM Hi Way Resort (Ranipet), MGM East Woods Resort at East Coast Road; MGM Vailankanni Residency and MGM Hill Worth Resorts, Coonoor in Tamil Nadu and Tranquil Orchards in Bengaluru.
The company that currently runs two properties across 22 locations, predominantly in South India including Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands is also engaged in marketing, sales and reservation serves besides hospitality segment.
Geeta Maheshwari, Director- Sales and Marketing, said: “Our selection of properties is based primarily on locations, since a property must either be in a tourist destination or must form part of a travel circuit. The growing interest and curiosity about Indian traditions among the foreign tourists and also among the ever growing domestic tourists continues unabated, and yoga, meditation, cuisine and craft, all continue to amaze guests with their diversity.”
