Chandigarh, the capital of Indian states Punjab and Haryana is all set to promote cycle tourism in its state in a big way. The state will organize its first cycling event called 'BSA Hercules India Cyclothon Chandigarh 2010' on the 27th June which is expected to woo lot of visitors.
Ram Niwas, the Chandigarh home-cum-tourism secretary while making the announcement added that the event will follow all the international standards. The beautiful city of Chandigarh, one of the most cycle-friendly cities in the country boasts of popular places like Rock garden, Sukhna Lake, Open Hand monument, Capitol complex and many others.
