The Chennai-based business and hospitality firm, Sabari Group will soon expand its footprint by setting up its hotel business unit in Pune, Coimbatore and Madurai. The company that currently owns and operates 6 hotels across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka under the brand Sabari Inn plans to invest close to Rs 200 crore in India as part of expansion plans.
K R V Ramani, Chairman and Managing Director, Sabari Group said, “We have acquired land in Pune, which will be of one acre and will have 125 rooms. Investments will be around Rs 60-70 crore for each hotel.” 
The Coimbatore and Madurai units would be of similar investments and similar room sizes. The company has already acquired 1 acre of land each in Coimbatore and in Madurai. Besides, Sabari Eco Resorts and Hospitality Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between the Sabari group and TKN Eco Farm, has announced its foray into wedding planner and management service through its new division – Palanquin.
Sabari Group that made its maiden venture by unveiling ‘Quality Inn Sabari’ a 4-Star Deluxe category Hotel in Chennai had launched 4 residential projects in Sholinganallur, comprising 260 apartments in the year 2007.
