Chennai now has a Taj Mahal. As a part of the 45 day summer festival or Kodai Tiruvizha, the tourism department of Tamil Nadu has set up an artificial waterfall and a replica of the Taj Mahal on the banks of Cooum River at the entrance of Island Grounds in the city.A C Mohandas, Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation, said “Many people are coming and enjoying. We have created Taj Mahal replica and people who want to visit Taj Mahal can now see the replica of it here itself.” The tourists have been flocking to catch a glimpse of the artificial waterfall and a replica of Taj Mahal. The beauty of the model and the realistic replica makes the visitors come and watch it again and again.
