Delhi-based Jaksons Developers Pvt Ltd (JDPL) is all set to make its foray into the Indian hospitality sector by opening its first property that is currently under construction in New Delhi. The company has tied up with Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) on a management contract to build the 183-room hotel at Rohini, Sector 10, New Delhi. The hotel that will be positioned as a convention hotel will be operated under the Crown Plaza brand.
The first five-star category hotel scheduled to be ready by August will house 42,000 square feet of convention space. Though the area is surrounded by residential area, it is also in close proximity of the commercial centre and JDPL plans to cater to the conferencing and meetings demand in this segment through this property.
Peayush Agarwal, President- Business Development, JDPL said: “We expect the room inventory to compliment the demand generated from the nearby areas of Narela, Barana and Panipat.”
