Australia-based Jetstar will add an additional 7 weekly services between Singapore and Manila in Philippines. Jetstar’s ninth A320 aircraft will be used to operate the new services. All Singapore-Manila services will operate from Singapore Changi International Airport Terminal 1 to Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It will add 4 additional weekly services from June 1 with 3 additional services coming on line from July 7.
Chong Phit Lian, Chief Executive Officer, Jetstar Asia said that growth opportunities continued to present themselves on existing Jetstar routes. “This route continues to respond well to our low fares, a strong attraction for the business and corporate market along with the Visiting Friends and Relatives (VFR) market on this route in particular,” Lian added.
The Jetstar’s presence at Singapore is growing by each year and it had previously introduced 3 new services in October last year on the route. The airways had recently announced incremental increases to flying to Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong from Singapore with the carrier’s latest A320 based in Singapore.
