Malaysia Airlines launched its new flight from Kuala Lumpur to Dammam via Dubai on May 6th, making the new route its fifth destination into the Middle East. The twice weekly flights will be using airbus 330-200 aircraft to operate and can accommodate 229 passengers.
Managing Director / CEO Tengku Dato Azmil Zahruddin said, "Malaysia airlines has been bringing Malaysians to the Middle East and vice versa for more than 30 years.
The opening of Dammam as a new destination will further strengthen Malaysia airlines presence in the Middle East. Our aim is to be the preferred carrier to the city from Kuala Lumpur, providing the vital link for those conducting business there”.
Malaysia airlines currently operate flights into Dubai, Jeddah, Istanbul and Beirut. The national carrier also serves Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait and Muscat via code share partners Etihad, Gulf Air, Qatar airlines and Egypt Air.
