The Khangchendzonga Tourist Villa-cum-socio cultural amusement park at Ranka, East Sikkim was recently unveiled by Ms. Pratibha Patil , the President of India. This massive fun park built at the total cost of 50 crore (more than $10 million) rupees spreads over 17 acres of land. It has swimming pools, bowling alleys, musical fountains and laser shows.  The park is 45 minutes away from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. There's also a dome shaped Sikkim Panorama containing fiber glass replicas of the important places in Sikkim, murals of ethnic communities, and traditional huts.
Other tourist attractions in Ranka include the Lingdum or Ranka Monastery and Banjakhri Falls. The other major infrastructural projects of Sikkim, currently under construction include a Greenfield airport at Pakyong, rail link between Rangpo in East Sikkim to Sevoke in West Bengal and double-laning of NH (National Highway) 31A.
