Duet India Hotels (DIH) has signed an agreement with US-based Starwood Hotels to build a ‘Four Points by Sheraton’ hotel in the Pink City of India - Jaipur. On the occasion of signing the agreement, Henry Gabay, Chairman of UK Duet Group, said that DIH was thrilled at the prospect of partnering with US-based Starwood Group, in the development of hotel portfolio in India.

Mr. Anuj Gupta, Co-founder of DIH, said that it was the best time to invest in the Indian hospitality market and for cashed up companies like DIH attractive, deals were available, so they took the advantage of the current market conditions. Commenting on the occasion, Dilip Puri, CEO of Duet India, said that the development of Jaipur property would be done under a strategy. The property would be located at Tonk Road, near the airport as well as CBD and government offices. With 115 rooms, hotel will have many facilities for its guests.

Miguel Ko, President and Chairman of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific, said that Starwood had been planning to establish the Four Points by Sheraton brand in India for last two years and the time had come when its plan will be turned to reality. Presently, DIH is engaged in building three other hotels, in Pune, Ahmadabad and Indore and these will open in July 2010, April 2011 and December 2010, respectively.
