Day 01: Arrival at Guwahati
Our representative shall pick you at the airport and take you to the
hotel for check in. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Guwahati - Tezpur
After having breakfast, you will be driven to Tezpur. Check into a
hotel as soon as you reach Tezpur. Tezpur is famous for the
archeological ruins and lush tea gardens. You will be visiting all of
these places. Return to hotel to retire for night.
Day 03: Tezpur - Bomdila
In the morning, you will be driven to Bomdila. Bomdila is a small town
located at a height of almost above 8000 ft above the sea level. Check
into a resort as soon as you reach Bomdila and relax yourself. During
evening, you can enjoy camp fire with the local tribal people. Return to
hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: Bomdila Sightseeing
Today, you will go on a sightseeing tour of Bomdila. An ideal place for
trekking and hiking, Bomdila is as much known for very fine and colorful
and masks as it is known for its Buddhist monasteries and snow-covered
peaks. Bomdila has scenic environs, numerous trekking trails and
delightful apple orchards. After having lunch, you will be trekking to
Chandu camp via Thungri plateau. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Bomdila - Tawang
On this day, you will be taken to Tawang via snow-covered Sela Pass. As
soon as you reach Tawang, check into a resort. Overnight stay will be in
resort.
Day 06: Tawang Sightseeing
After having breakfast, you will be taken on sightseeing of Tawang.
Situated at a height of 10,000 ft above sea level, Tawang is home to the
biggest Buddhist Monastery in India, which dates back to 400 years.
Founded by monk Mera Lama, a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama,
Galden Namgyal Lhatse or Tawang monastery was also the birthplace of the
sixth Dalai Lama. The collection of Thangkas and a large gilded statue
of Sakyamuni are the highlights of the monastery. You can also explore
some of the wonderful treks of Tawang. Overnight stay will be in resort.
Day 07: Tawang - Bomdila
Today, you will be coming back to Bomdila. On the way, you will be
visiting the 1962 Indo-China war memorial at Jaswantgarh, Kangto, Nyegi
Kangang and Govichen. Check into a resort as soon as you reach Bomdila
for overnight stay.
Day 08: Bomdila - Guwahati
In the morning, you will be driven back to Guwahati via Bhalukpung
where you will be having lunch. Check into a hotel as soon as you reach
Guwahati. Later in the day you can see various tourist spots of Guwahati
such as Kamakhya Temple, Navagraha Temple, Assam State Museum etc.
Overnight stay will be in hotel.
Day 09: Departure from Guwahati
On the last day of your trip, you can do a bit of shopping and buy
ethnic stuff like handicrafts. In the afternoon, you proceed towards the
airport and board the flight for your onward destination with happy
memories of adventure in India.
