Chennai-based Southern Railways will soon run 2 special trains on June 14 and 15 to facilitate pilgrims attending the 'Urs' festival at Ajmer. The trains will be operated from Ernakulum Junction to Ajmer via Konkan Railway. While Train No 0619 Ernakulam-Ajmer will leave Ernakulam Junction on June 14 (Monday); Train No 0657 will leave Ernakulam Junction the following day.
The stoppages of the special train at other stations in Kerala area are: Aluva, Thrisur, Shornur, Kuttipuram, Thirur, Parapanangadi, Feroke, Kozhikode, Qualiandi, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyangadi, Payyanur, Kanchangad, Kasargod and Mangalore. Beyond Mangalore, this special train will halt at Suratkal, Udupi, Bhatkal, Karwar, Valsad, Surat, Ratlam, Nimach, Chittaurgarh and Bhilware. The six-day Urs festival falls on the sixth month of lunar calendar.
