eights days and seven nights journey, this luxury train covers the
cities of Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Sawai Modhopur, Chittaurgarh,
Udaipur, Bharatpur and Agra, starting and ending the trip in Delhi.
Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, on every journey it makes, leaves Delhi on
Sunday and comes back to the city the next Sunday (early morning). To

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Itinerary
Day 01: New Delhi
The journey of the splendid experience onboard Royal Rajasthan on Wheels
starts from Delhi Safdarjung Railway station. The reporting time to the
station is 16.00 hrs. The guests are welcomed in a purely conventional
style, with all the traditional ritualistic greetings. The luxurious
journey commences at 18.30 hrs, to explore some of the most stupendous
destinations of India.
Day 02: Jaipur
The first stop of the seven-day luxurious cruise is at Jaipur, the Pink
City of India. One of the most well planned cities of the world, in its
time, Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727 A.D.
The sight-seeing tour for the day includes Hawa Mahal, Amber Palace,
elephant ride and shopping. While breakfast and dinner is served in the
train only, lunch is served at a 5-Star hotel/palace, followed by visit
to City Palace Museum and Observatory. In the evening, the train
proceeds towards Jaisalmer.
Day 03: Jaisalmer
The next stop is at the exotic desert city of India, Jaisalmer. Founded
by Rawal Jaisal, in 1156 AD, Jaisalmer flaunts some of the most
spectacular forts and impressive havelis, along with the rich culture of
India. In the evening, the guests are taken to the heart of the desert,
to experience a camel ride amidst the breathtaking sand dunes. Later in
the evening, the guests enjoy the cultural program at a 5-Star hotel,
followed by dinner. The coach then departs for its next destination,
Jodhpur.
Day 04: Jodhpur
The next halt of the luxurious train is at Jodhpur, the second largest
city of Rajasthan. The sightseeing plan for the day includes Meharangarh
Fort, within which lies the impressive Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool
Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana. Along with the fort, the guests are
taken to Jaswant Thada, a group of royal cenotaphs made of white marble,
followed by lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Hotel/Palace. The train, then,
heads towards Sawai Modhopur, passing through the fascinating landscape
of Rajasthan.
Day 05: Sawai Modhopur/ Chittorgarh
On the fifth day, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels first halts in Sawai
Madhopur, at 04.00 hrs. The guests are, then, taken to Ranthambhore
National Park, one of the best wildlife sanctuaries of India, to explore
the rich wildlife of the area. After this, the train resumes its journey
towards Chittorgarh, giving its guests the opportunity to watch the
colorful countryside, in broad daylight. The guests see the mesmerizing
beauty of Chittorgarh Fort, before leaving for Udaipur, at night.
Day 06: Udaipur
On the sixth day, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels stops at the Lake City of
Rajasthan, Udaipur. Herein, the guests explore the two most beautiful,
dream-like marble palaces of Udaipur - Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and Jag
Mandir, which appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichhola.
After lunch, at a 5-star hotel, the journey of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels
resumes, taking the guests towards the last destinations - Bharatpur and
Agra.
Day 07: Bharatpur / Agra
The seventh day is reserved for visiting Bharatpur and the City of Taj -
Agra. While the guests unfold the glory of the world-famous bird
sanctuary in the morning, later in the day, they watch the immaculate
monument of undying love - Taj Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the
World, the mesmerizing edifice was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, in the
memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. After the Taj visit, the
luxury train heads towards Delhi.
Day 08: Delhi
The trip of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels comes to an end on the eighth
day, at four in the morning. The train provides early breakfast to its
guests, after which they depart on their own.
