Royal Rajasthan on Wheels gives its guests a taste of the mesmerizing landscapes, startling havelis and magnificent palaces of Rajasthan, along with a rendezvous with Taj Mahal - the eternal monument of love. The itinerary of this luxury train is always fixed. Through its eights days and seven nights journey, this luxury train covers the cities of Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Khajuraho, Varanasi, and Agra, starting and ending the trip in Delhi. Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, on every journey it makes, leaves Delhi on Sunday and comes back to the city the next Sunday (early morning). Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Itinerary

Day 01: New Delhi

The journey of the splendid experience onboard Royal Rajasthan on Wheels starts from Delhi Safdarjung Railway station. The guests are welcomed in a purely conventional style, with all traditional ritualistic greetings. The luxurious journey commences at 16.30 hrs, to explore some of the most stupendous destinations of India.

Day 02: Jodhpur
The first stop of the seven-day luxurious cruise is at Jodhpur, the Blue City of India. The sightseeing plan for the day includes Mehrangarh Fort, within which lies the impressive Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana. Along with the fort, the guests are taken to Jaswant Thada, a group of royal cenotaphs made of white marble. This will be followed by lunch onboard the train. At 17.10 hrs, the train will proceed to Udaipur.

Day 03: Udaipur / Chittorgarh
The next stop is at the Lake City of Rajasthan, Udaipur. Herein, the guests explore the two most beautiful, dream-like marble palaces of Udaipur - Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and Jag Mandir, which appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichola. Also, the whimsical and splendid havelis, palaces, temples will be on the tour. After lunch at a 5-star hotel, a trip to the crystal gallery will be made. From hereon, the guests will presume their journey to the next destination of the luxury train – Chittorgarh. Here, the guests will get an opportunity to sneak a peek into the colorful countryside and glorious history. The guests see the mesmerizing beauty of Chittorgarh Fort, followed by Vijay Stambh, Gaumukh Reservoir, and Palace of Queen Padmini, before leaving for Sawai Madhopur, at night.

Day 04: Sawai Madhopur / Jaipur
On day four, the royal train halts at Sawai Madhopur, at 05.30 hrs. Post breakfast onboard, the guests are taken to Ranthambhore National Park, one of the best wildlife sanctuaries of India, to explore the rich wildlife of the area. The itinerary also includes visits to the wondrous Ranthambhore Fort and marvelous Amareshwar Mahadeo Temple. The train, then, heads towards Jaipur, passing through the picturesque landscapes of Rajasthan. The train reaches Jaipur – the Pink City of India, at 13.15 hrs.

One of the most well planned cities of the world in its time, Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727 A.D. The sightseeing tour includes Hawa Mahal, elephant ride at Amber Fort, and shopping. Lunch is served at a 5-star hotel, followed by a visit to City Palace Museum and Observatory. A traditional Rajasthani dinner will be served at a hotel, along with a cultural programme. The luxury train then continues its journey to the architectural city, Khajuraho, in Madhya Pradesh.

Day 05: Khajuraho
On the fifth day, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels halts in Khajuraho, at 11.00 hrs. The guests are the ancient temples, dating back to the 9-12th centuries. The opulent sculptures and historic temples are excellent specimens of sheer architecture and fine craftsmanship. The guests will be taken to the various temples and museum. In-between, lunch will be arranged at a luxury hotel. Thereafter, the train will depart for its next destination to the oldest city in the world, Varanasi, at 18.30 hrs.

Day 06: Varanasi
Day six will see the arrival of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels at the holy city Varanasi, sited in the state of Uttar Pradesh, at 06.00 hrs. Nicknamed as the “City of Temples”, “religious capital of India”, and “the City of Lights”, Varanasi is placed picturesquely on the banks of River Ganges. Touted to be the oldest inhabited city in the world, Varanasi has a history dating back to more than 3000 years. This religious destination has a plethora of temples to marvel at. The guests will tour the various Ghats, temples, and the morning Maha Aarti, followed by Buddhist temples at Sarnath. While lunch will be at a hotel, dinner will be served onboard when the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels resumes, taking the guests towards the last destination – Agra.

Day 07: Agra
The seventh day is reserved for visiting the City of Taj - Agra. The guests will unfold the glory of immaculate monument of undying love - Taj Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the mesmerizing edifice was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, in the memory of his beloved queen, Mumtaz Mahal. The city is also known for handicrafts, which includes leather work, footwear, brass-wear, carpets, jewelry, and zari and embroidery work. After the Taj visit, the luxury train heads towards Delhi.

Day 08: New Delhi
The trip of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels comes to an end on the eighth day, at 04.00 hrs in the morning. The train provides early breakfast to its guests, after which they depart on their own.
