Day 1 Guwahati

Welcome to Guwahati.
Sightseeing tour of the city and overnight stay.


Day 2 Tezpur

After breakfast, drive to Tezpur.
After lunch, sightseeing tour of the city.
Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 3 Bomdila

After breakfast, drive to Arunachal Pradesh.
Overnight stay at the hotel/tourist lodge at Bomdila (at 8,500 ft above sea level).
In the evening, camp fire with local tribals.


Day 4 Chandu

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Bomdila.

Bomdila - An ideal place for trekking and hiking, Bomdila is as much known for very fine and colorful and masks as it is known for its Buddhist monasteries and snow-covered peaks. A small town in the eastern Himalayas, Bomdila has scenic environs, numerous trekking trails and delightful apple orchards. Situated in the northwestern part of Arunachal Pradesh, it is set at 2,530 m above sea level.

After lunch, trekking to Chandu camp via Thungri plateau.
Back to hotel for overnight stay.


Day 5 Tawang

After breakfast, trek Tawang via snow-covered Sela Pass (14,000 ft above sea level).

Tawang - A small town to the north of Bomdila, it has some of the most beautiful and scenic mountainous terrain. Set at a height of 3,400 m above sea level, Tawng is best known all over the world for its 400-year-old Buddhist monastery, which originated in mid-17th century and carved its nich as one of the most important Buddhist centers of northeast India.
Overnight stay at hotel/tourist lodge.


Day 6 Tawang

Drive to the Tawang monastery and sightseeing tour of Tawang.

Tawang - Situated at a height of 10,000 ft above sea level, Tawang is home of 400-year-old biggest Buddhist Monastery in India. Founded by monk Mera Lama, a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama, Galden Namgyal Lhatse or Tawang monastery was also the birthplace of the sixth Dalai Lama. The collection of Thangkas and a large gilded statue of Sakyamuni are the highlights of the monastery. Tawang also offers some wonderful treks to explore.

Overnight stay at Tawang.


Day 7 Bomdila

After early breakfast, drive Bomdila enroute having lunch and visiting 1962 Indo-China war memorial at Jaswantgarh, Kangto, Nyegi Kangang and Govichen.
Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 8 Guwahati

After breakfast drive to Guwahati enroute visiting Bhalukpung and having lunch.

Guwahati - Kamakhya Temple of Guwahati one of the oldest and most sacred centre for Shakti worship and Tantric Hinduism. There is Navagraha Temple on Chitrachal Hill, believed to be an ancient seat of study of astronomy and astrology. The other places worth visiting in Guwahati are Umananda Temple and Assam State Museum, which exhibits works of archaeology, sculpture, paintings, metal, ivory and woodwork, costumes, ethnology, reconstructed huts of Assamese tribes, weavings and musical instruments.

Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 9 Guwahati

Morning free for shopping before transfer to airport.
