Day 2 Mumbai

Morning sightseeing tour of Mumbai.

Mumbai - The Indian film city is famous for Gateway of India built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary for the Delhi Durbar. Prince of Wales Museum exhibits antique articles of art, sculpture, china, rare coins, weaponry and miniatures. Kamala Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens are cool while Marine Drive is the hip-hop area of the town with thee top-notch night life.

Flight to Aurangabad.

Day 3 Aurangabad

Excursion tour to Ajanta Cave.

Ajanta Caves - The world heritage site, Ajanta caves has 30 Caves dating back from 200 BC to 250 AD. Cut out from volcanic rocks of Deccan India, they are located in the forest ravines of the Sahyadri Hills. Two basic types of monastic Buddhist architecture that can be seen Ajanta are the Chaityas (rayer halls) and Viharas (monasteries). While Mahayana sex related edifices have religious imagery, Hinayana sect have leeprn theirs plain and stark.

Day 4 Aurangabad

Morning visit to Ellora Cave.
Sightseeing tour of Aurangabad.
Evening flight to Udaipur.

Day 5 Udaipur

Morning boat cruise on Lake Pichola.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Udaipur.

Udaipur - Udaipur is rightly called the City of Lakes in with Lake Pichola, Lake Fatehsagar and Lake Udai Sagar to boast of settled in the lab of verdant green Aravali Hills. The grand City Palce, Sahelion-Ki-Bari, Jagdish Temple and the museum of Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal are places worth visiting besides the most famous island palaces of Lake Palace and Jag Mandir that are said to be the most romantic places around the world.

Day 6 Jaipur

Excursion trip to Eklangi and Nagda.
Flight to Jaipur.

Day 7 Jaipur

Morning half-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur.

Jaipur - The Pink City of Jaipur was founded by Sawai Raja Jai Singh. The magnificent City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its delicate screen facade, Jantar Mantar (the Royal Observatory and multihued Jaipur Bazaar buzzing with people have all become icons of Jaipur in themselves. The characteristic pink color has now become protected by law and is said to symbolize 'welcome'.

Elephant ride to Amber Fort.

Amber Fort - is a classic example of Rajput architecture. Diwan-I-am, Hall of Victory and Kali temple are some of its highlights.

Day 8 Sawai Madhopur

Transfer to Sawai Madhopur.
Afternoon visit to Ranthombore Wildlife Sanctuary featuring Tigers and Leopards.

Day 9 Bharatpur

Drive to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary featuring about 400 species of birds.

Bharatpur - One of the best water-bird sanctuaries, Keoladeo Ghana National Park of Bharatpur is the winter retreat of more than 400 species of birds including the rare Siberian cranes. With a shallow, fresh water marsh and an artificial lake offering boat cruise facilities, it was named after the local deity. This national park is a birdwatchers' paradise and offers excellent photography opportunities.

Drive to Agra.

Day 10 Agra

Sightseeing tour of Agra including Taj Mahal, Agra fort and Itmad-ud-daulah.
Afternoon excursion to Fatehpur Sikri.

Besides the majestic buildings, the leatherwork and pietra dura marble-inlay work of Agra is an inseparable part of the city's identity. Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-daulah's tomb are the legendary gems of Mughal architectural style along with the nearby excursions of Fatehpur Sikri and Sikandra that are not worth missing.

Day 13 Delhi

Sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi.

Delhi - The capital of India, Delhi has been centre of political turmoil since 13th century. The day includes a visit to the Yogmaya Temple, the temple complex of Laxmi Narayan, the famous Chattarpur Temple and the Bahai Temple, also known as the Lotus Temple. Raj Ghat in Delhi, the cremation site of Mahatama Gandhi, Father Of India, is much like a sacred temple to every patriotic Indian heart too. Enjoy a bit of astrological predictions and findings in the evening at Old Delhi, after which you are free to do shopping and relax. Ride a cycle rickshaw through the crowded streets of the markets of Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India in Old Delhi. In New Delhi, you can visit Dilli Haat, best place to look at Indian handicrafts and drive over the Rajpath, the site for Republic Day Parade of India to India Gate, a tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their nation. You can see the President's House from outside and visit the 16th century Humayun's Tomb, Safdarjung's Tomb and Qutub Minar.

Day 14 Kolkata

Day 15 Kolkata

Sightseeing tour of the city including Victoria Memorial, Birla Planetarium, Central Museum and local markets of Esplanade.

Day 16 Chennai

Flight to Chennai.
Excursion tours to Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram.

Mahabalipuram - An open stone art gallery, Mahabalipuram or Mamallapuram is world famous for its shore temples. The artwork here can be divided into following categories - stone sculptures strewn around in the open, structured and chariot-shaped temples and artificial caves cut out from rocks. However, the highlight of the city is the Shore Temple on the beach.

Kanchipuram - Popularly known as the city of thousand temples, it is one of the seven most sacred Hindu pilgrimage centers. The highlights are the 108 Shaiva temples, 18 Vaishnava temples and Adi Shankararchya's Ashram. This small town is also famous for its thriving handloom and cotton industry and silk weavers known for their skills in producing best silk sarees in the entire country.

Day 17 Chennai

Morning sightseeing tour of Chennai.

Chennai - Apart from the lazy stroll at Marina Beach, the second longest beach in the world, where you enjoy the playfulness of the seas and the sands and a look at the archaeological section and bronze gallery of the Museum, you also visit Lord Shiva's temple built in Dravidian architectural style known as Kapaleeshwar Temple.

Day 18 Bangalore

Morning sightseeing tour of Bangalore.

Bangalore - Known as the City of Gardens and Indian Silicon Valley. Kempe Gowda built the Bangalore Fort and Tippu Sultan expanded it. It houses 16th century Ganapathi Temple. There is Tippu Palace famous for its carving and paintings, Venkataramanaswamy temple built in the 17th century as a splendid example of Dravidian temple architecture, lal Bagh, the botanical gardens laid out by Hyder Ali, the Bull Temple with a giant Nandi, the Gangadhareshware temple or Cave Temple, the Dharmaraja Temple, the Ravindra Kalakshetra built to commemorate Rabindranath Tagore's centenary, St. Mary's Church and Gandhi Bhavan. One can also visit the famous racecourse here and the picnic spot of Ulsoor lake. Vidhana Soudha is neo-Dravidian granite building near Cubbon Park.

Day 20 Mysore

Mysore - Often known as City of Palaces, lavish Mysore Palace was built in 1912 by the Wodeyars in the Indo-Saracenic style. Its highlights are the Golden Royal Elephant Throne, the Durbar Hall, the Kalyana Mandap and the Gallery. The gothic-style St. Philomena's Church is one of the largest churches in the country with beautiful stained-glass windows. The monolith of Nandi bull on the slopes of Chamundi Hills is a fitting introduction to the 2000-year-old Chamundeswari Temple atop. One can also visit the Brindavan Gardens with musical fountains and colorful lights.
