Day 1 Arrival at Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar, our representative will meet you at the
airport. You will be escorted to the deluxe houseboat. Afternoon will be
reserved for leisure. A shikara ride on the picturesque Dal Lake will
keep you occupied in the evening. After, enjoying the sunset by the
lakeside, you will retire back to your houseboat for the night.
Day 2 Srinagar Sightseeing
You will visit the Mughal gardens, including the Nishat Bagh and
Shalimar Bagh, in the first half of the day tour. Thereafter, you will
return back to the houseboat for lunch. Then, you will leave for a
shikara ride on the Dal Lake. The night stay will be at the houseboat.
Day 3 Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
The morning will start with a drive for a full day tour of Gulmarg. A
spectacular summer resort of Kashmir, it is quite known for its golf
course (the highest in the world) and skiing. The snow capped mountains
and a Gondola ride (cable car), from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg, are the
other attractions of Gulmarg. After spending the day in Gulmarg, you
will leave for Srinagar and spend the night in the houseboat.
Day 4 Srinagar - Sonamarg - Kargil
In the morning, you will proceed towards to Kargil. On the way, you
will visit Sonamarg and Zojila. Then, you will stop at Drass (second
coldest inhabited place in the world) for tea and passport check. After
another two and half hours drive, you will reach Kargil. Thereafter, you
will check into a hotel and stay for the night.
Day 5 Kargil - Leh
The morning will start with a full day drive towards Leh. Enroute, you
will visit Mulbek (Buddhist village) and Fotula Pass (the highest pass
at 13749 ft.). Lunch will be had at Lamayuru, the oldest Monastery.
Then, you will visit Nimu, another village and enjoy a view of the
Zanskar River flowing into Indus. After reaching Leh, you will check
into a hotel and stay for the night.
Day 6 Leh Sightseeing
The morning will be free to spend at your discretion. In the afternoon,
you will take a half-day tour of Phyang, Spituk and Shanker Gompa. The
hotels will play your host for the night.
Day 7 Leh - Khardongla Pass - Leh
The day will start with an excursion to Khardongla pass, the highest
motorable pass in the world at 5600 m. From the top of the pass, you
will enjoy the view of snow-covered mountains. By late afternoon, you
will return back to the hotel. The overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 8 Leh - Delhi
In the morning, you will leave Leh for Delhi. In Delhi, you will be
directly taken to the airport for a flight to your destination.
