Day 1 Arrival at Leh
After you arrive at Leh airport, our representatives will meet you and
escort you to the hotel. After checking into the hotel, you will rest
for the day. A leisurely walk around Leh bazaar will keep you occupied
in the evening. The night stay will be at the hotel.
Day 2 Leh Monasteries
The whole day will be spent in visiting the monasteries in the Ladakh
region. The day will start with a visit to the Thiksey monastery for
attending the praying ceremony. Thereafter, you will proceed towards
Hemis monastery and end the day with a visit to Shey Palace. For the
night, the hotel will serve as your host.
Day 3 Leh - Chumathang - Tsomoriri
The morning will start with a drive to Chumathang, famous for a hot
spring having medicinal properties. After visiting the spring, you will
leave for Tsomoriri Lake. Enroute, you will visit Sumdah village.
Tsomoriri Lake is a breeding ground for a number of bird species. It is
bird watcher’s paradise, where you may get to see bar headed goose,
crested grebe, Brahmini duck (ruddy sheldrake), the brown-headed gull,
etc. For the night, you will put up tents by the lakeside.
Day 4 Tsomoriri Sightseeing
The whole day you will be occupied with sightseeing around the
Tsomoriri Lake. The morning will start with a visit to Korzok village
and the afternoon will be spent around the Lake. Dinner will be had in
the tents, where you will retire for the night.
Day 5 Tsomoriri - Mahe - Puga - Tsokar - Tanglangla - Leh
The day will start with a drive to Mahe village, a picturesque village
with spurting fountain and white clouds hanging upon. From there, you
will proceed towards Puga Valley, famous for Butan gas. Thereafter, you
will continue towards Tsokar via Polokongka pass (at 13500 ft.). After
visiting the Tsokar Lake, you can also see Thugke gomp. The place is
quite known for wild Asses, seen grazing and moving in flocks. From
here, you will drive towards Leh. On the way, you will stop to
Tanglangla pass, the second highest motorable pass in the world at 5350
m. after, arriving in Leh, you will retire to your hotel.
Day 6 Leh Sightseeing
The first half of the day will spent rafting in Indus River, starting
from Phe and going up to Nimu. Lunch will be had at the riverside of
Indus. By late afternoon, you will get back to the hotel and stay
overnight.
Day 7 Leh - Khardongla pass - Leh
The day will be spent in an excursion trip to Khardongla pass, the
highest motor able pass in the world at 5600 m. Enjoy the sight of Snow
clad mountains from the top of the pass. You will be back in the hotel
by late afternoon. The night stay will be at the hotel.
Day 8 Leh – Delhi
In the morning, you will leave for Delhi airport. From there you will
take a flight to your destination.
