Deccan Odyssey is one of the most impressive luxury
trains of India, which takes you across the heart of Maratha land and
also lets you explore the picturesque beach of the erstwhile Portuguese
colony. The train undertakes a seven day long journey that starts from
Mumbai and ends at Mumbai. Indians as well as foreigners, from different
part of the world, come to explore the country as well as its royal past
through this amazing train. Given below is information on the tariff of
Deccan Odyssey train of India.

Notes:
For the children between 5 and 12 years of age, half the tariff
will be charged.
Instead of opting for the whole seven-day journey, you may opt
for a particular leg of the journey too. However, the minimum
duration will have to be three days and such an arrangement will be
subject to availability.
Tourists can also undertake a day program at Goa and Mumbai. In
such a case, there will be an additional charge of US$ 100 or Rs.
4200 per person.
From September 2007, a service tax @ 3.09% is applicable on the
gross ticket value of the Deccan Odyssey tours. The tourists opting
for a day program at Mumbai and Goa will have to pay this tax.
The tariff mentioned above comprises of travel, catering and
sightseeing charges, along with entrance fee payable at monuments,
parks, palaces, cultural programs and boat rides. The guests will be
required to pay for video cameras, liquor, laundry and other items
of personal nature.
For departure during Christmas and New Year, the guests will be
required to pay a surcharge of 10%.
The tariff mentioned above may be changed at any point of time,
without notice.
Reservations:
The tariff of Deccan Odyssey will be paid as follows:
20% of the tariff has to be paid at the time of booking.
The rest 80% of the tariff will be paid 45 days before the start
of the tour.
Cancellation:
The communication of the cancellation of the reservation must be sent
by Fax/E-mail/Letter to the 'Central Reservation Division' at its Head
Office, in Mumbai. The amount deducted in case of cancellation will be
as follows:
Rs. 300 - when the communication is received 60 days before the
commencement date of the tour.
20% of the ticket value - when the communication is received
within the period of 24 to 44 days before the commencement date of
the tour.
50% of the ticket value - when the communication is received
within the period of 8 to 23 days before the commencement date of
the tour.
100% of the ticket value - when the communication is received
within the period of 7 days before the commencement date of the
tour.
