• Fix the fee of having a guided tour in advance, before staring on the trip. This way you can ensure that the tourist guide doesn't fleece you when the whole tour is over. You can also bargain a bit on the price told by him initially.
• If you are satisfied with the services of your tourist guide, you can give him a generous tip, in addition to his usual fee. But, make sure that the generous doesn't become extravagant.
• Do not hand over your expensive items to the tourist guide. He might misuse it or in the worst of circumstances, break it or run away with it.
• It is advisable for you to avoid being overfriendly with the tourist guides. Don't be rude, but don't offer too much personal information also. It might put you at risk afterwards.
• Don't take out too much cash or too expensive items, like jewelry, in front of the tourist guides. It is as good as inviting trouble for yourself!
