Weather in the holy city of Haridwar is more or less like the climate in the Gangetic plains.

Haridwar WeatherHaridwar is located in the state of Uttarakhand in northern India. Summer
The summer months of April to June or mid July in Haridwar are generally very hot. Since the sun is unrelenting at this time, it is better to avoid this time period. The nights have a pleasing temperature. During the daytime the best way to avoid the heat is take a dip in the holy Ganga.

Monsoon
The monsoon season brings some respite in the temperature with heavy downpours. During this time the River tends to have big tide and an extremely fast current. Many times the fresh water from rains brings silt from the up current.

Winter
The winters are as usual very cold with chilly gusts at times. The temperature dips as low as 0.6 ºC between the months of mid November to February. Early morning mist envelopes this holy city during these winter months resulting in low visibility.
