Pradesh, being a state of India, has 'Indian Rupee' (INR) as its
official currency. Money in the state is available in various
denominations (like Rs 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000).
Generally, paper currency (notes) is available in the form of Rs 10, 20,
50, 100, 500 and 1000. Coins, on the other hand, are issued in
denominations of 50 paise, one rupee, two rupees and five rupees. Usage
of 'Plastic Money', in the form of debit and credit cards, is also
widespread in the Madhya Pradesh.The state sees many tourists from overseas every year.
