The weather in Hampi is tropical in nature.
Summer
The summer months are generally hot and dry with peak temperatures
touching 45C. With the advent of the rainy season in July, incessant
rains made it impossible to venture outside. Backpackers should avoid
this season, as the rain gods are sure to play spoilsport in their
adventures.
Winter
The winter days are slightly cold with temperatures hovering around
32-36C. Ideal time to unpack your tent amidst the historical ruins.
Clothing
If you are planning to come down during the summer season, do bring
along T-shirts and cotton dresses. Sunglasses are a must to beat the
scorching Sun. For a winter trip, light jackets would do fine.
