Pushkar excursion tour is incomplete without a visit to the holy city of Ajmer. Under the patronage of Savant Singh, this particular art form reached its heights. It is said that Savant Singh portrayed as Krishna, with Bani Thani (his mistress) modeling as Radha, for the purpose of the paintings. Apart from the paintings, Kishangarh is also regarded as a rich store of marbles.

Roopangarh Fort
Constructed by Maharaja Roop Singh of Kishangarh in 1648, Roopangarh fort has now been partly converted into a heritage hotel.
